Who these terms are with
FarmDesk SA is operated by Leading Design Revolutions (Pty) Ltd (LDR). By creating an account or using FarmDesk, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Notice. You must be able to agree for yourself or be authorised to act for the farm or business whose information you enter.
FarmDesk is a developing service
FarmDesk is being launched as a beta service. It includes free calculators and account-based tools for farm, field, equipment, document and parts records. Features may be corrected, improved, limited or removed as we learn from real use. The current screens, rather than marketing plans, show what is available at that time.
Your records and responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep your account and password secure.
- Check imported, scanned or AI-read information before saving or relying on it. These results are editable drafts, not guaranteed facts.
- Make sure you are authorised to upload documents and personal information, including employee and emergency-contact details.
- Keep your own essential records and backups. FarmDesk is a working aid, not your only legally required or safety-critical record.
Calculators, chemicals, equipment and parts
FarmDesk does not replace an agronomist, mechanic, engineer, accountant, lawyer, registered product label, machine manual or supplier confirmation. Calculator results depend on the values you enter.
Always confirm the current registered chemical label, approved use and rate before an application. Confirm part fitment, serial number, specification, price, VAT, stock, delivery, warranty and installation directly with the relevant supplier or qualified person before buying or using a part.
Parts support limits
A parts request does not place an order. Public or historical search results may be marked unverified and may be incomplete or out of date. Unless you give the required consent and LDR separately confirms the next step, FarmDesk and LDR do not automatically contact suppliers, share farm information, place orders, promise stock or fitment, or process supplier payments. You remain responsible for the final purchase decision.
Trial, pricing and payment
Your 90-day trial starts on 1 October 2026 or when you create your profile, whichever is later. Your account shows your exact expiry date. There is no automatic debit.
The public calculators remain available without an account. New farm profiles currently receive a 90-day FarmDesk Pro trial without a card. After the trial, the current price and VAT treatment are shown on the pricing and payment screens before you choose to pay by EFT. Access is activated only after payment verification. FarmDesk does not debit your account automatically.
If Pro is not activated after the trial, paid features may become limited or read-only while the free tools remain available. Current pricing, VAT treatment, payment reference and any future changes will be shown before you pay. A new price will not be charged without your action or agreement.
Acceptable use
You may not use FarmDesk to:
- break the law, mislead another person or infringe their rights;
- upload malicious code or content you are not allowed to use;
- access another farm's account, records or files without permission;
- probe, overload, copy or interfere with the service or its security; or
- resell or exploit FarmDesk without LDR's written permission.
Ownership
You keep ownership of the information and files you upload. You give LDR the limited right to store, process, back up and display them only as needed to provide, secure and support FarmDesk. LDR owns FarmDesk, its branding, software, layout and original content. Supplier names, documents and third-party material remain the property of their respective owners.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep FarmDesk useful and available, but beta software can contain errors and may be interrupted for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control. To the extent allowed by law, LDR is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by unavailable, incomplete or incorrect information, or by a decision made without the required independent checks. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that South African law does not allow us to exclude.
Changes, suspension and ending use
You may stop using FarmDesk and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary for security, unlawful use, non-payment of paid services, serious breach of these terms or discontinuation of the service. Where practical, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to export eligible records.
We may update these terms when FarmDesk, pricing or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear above, and material changes should be brought to users' attention. Continued use after a change takes effect means the updated terms apply. These terms are governed by South African law.
